Birthday Cake.

In this picture below, Evan is singing Happy birthday to himself. It was cute. We got a video of it so hopefully we can hear him.
I think he liked his cake by the expression on his face.
Blowing out the candle.
Digging in.
Here are the pictures of Evan's Birthday cake. I decided to do a CARS theme this year because he loves this movie. It is one of the first that he watched and he loves it. I made a 2 out of chocolate and sprinkled green on for grass. I also used broken pieces of Butterfinger to make rocks. I think it turned out pretty good.

The round piece at the end was just for Evan and he loved it.
Evan got a lot of fun presents. He got toy cars from the Movie Cars, a little four wheeler that he can push around, some shirts, train set and track, and books. I think he have a great day. His Grandma Barbara "mamas"as he calls her also came and spent a week with us for his birthday.

Birthday activities

For Evan's birthday we asked him what he wanted to do and he said horses. He loves riding the carosel at the mall.

He also played at the play area for a while. After we rode the carosel the first time we told the lady running it that it was his Birthday. She said, "You should have told me, I would have let him ride for free". So we went back after the play area and rode again.

He loves the horses.

Church time!

Here are some pictures of Evan one Sunday before church. He loves going to church. He loves going to nursery to play with his friends.
In this one he is jumping. As you can see from the counter behind him, he can jump pretty high.

He was jumping in this one too.

Happy 2nd Birthday Evan!

Last night as I satwith Evan before he fell asleep, he asks me to sing happy birthday "again". Whenever he likes something he says "again". I hope he had a fun 2nd birthday. I can't believe he is already 2. He had so much fun opening presents and with each one he just wanted to stop and play. He loves the movie cars so I made a cake that had the number 2 for the road and had Lightning and Sally racing. (I will put up pics later). We had a good day and i could tell Evan didn't want it to end. Happy birthday Evan I Love you.

Evan is back floating

Today Evan had swimming lessons and I really didn't want to go today, I don't know why, but I am so glad that I did. Evan has his good days for swimming and bad. Today was a good day. He did almost everything without crying and the biggest surprise of all was that he back floated all by himself. It was toward the end of the lesson where we have them swim to the teacher and then roll over to a back float. The first time Evan made it to a count of 5. The second time he made it to a count of 10. The teacher then says lets do it one more time. He then called over another teacher (the one in charge of advancement) over and had Evan do it again. He made it to 10 again and then tried to roll back over to get the wall. He got a ribbon that says "I back floated all by myself today". I am thankful that heavenly father did this for Evan today and for me because I would have been sad if I missed him back floating. I wish I had a picture but unfortunately I don't so I put a picture of the ribbon.

Colorado Trip 2010 Part 2

Evan always loves to go for walks.
Giving mom a kiss.

These pictures are from the Sissom Family reunion. Evan didn't want to take a picture.

I think these were all of the Sissom's that were at the reunion this year.

Evan was having fun with his Aunt BreAnn.

Colorado Trip 2010 Part 1

Evan pretending to drive with Grandpa.

Evan just sitting by the water with Shaniah.
Evan and Aunt Deanna. Evan just wanted to run and throw things in the water.
I thought this picture turned out nice. He was such a good boy. I am surprised he didn't try to jump in the water.
Luke wearing Great Grandma Farmer's walking hat.Great Grandma and me. We went over to their house for a visit.

As you can tell, Evan didn't want to sit still for anything. He was exploring.

This was the best picture we could get with Great Grandpa because he didn't want to take a picture.

Evan wearing Great Grandpa's hat. The way I took the picture it looks like Great Grandma is wearing horns.

Fourth of July!

Last year we didn't watch fireworks so this year we decided that we needed to go watch them for Evan. So this was Evan's first experiece watching them. At first we sat in the back of the car to watch them.
At first he wasn't quite sure what was going on. He watched them intently at the beautiful colors filled the sky.
He also sat on Josh's shoulders.
I was trying to figure out how to get the best picture and unfortunately some of them came out blury.
I think it was a fun experience for him. We have to thank Sylas and his parent's for letting us watch from their house.

Playing with Aunt BreAnn and Uncle Ricky

Evan had a great time playing with BreAnn and Ricky. He loved jumping off the couch to BreAnn.And playing with Ricky.
and sneaking up on him.
He loved the kisses...
... most of them.

Swimming

Evan has been taking swimming lessons at Hubbard family swim school. We go on Mondays and he has been doing a great job. His teachers name is Lizzie. This is a picture of Evan going under water to get to his teacher.
She then rolls him over onto his back. He is getting really good and letting us put him on his back. He just needs to relax and then I think he will be floating by himself.

Learning out to climb out....
... and jump back in.
He has been doing a great job. We have also been practicing at home.

I'm a Mormon.
