Meet Woody!

Before Halloween I asked Evan what he wanted to be. He said, "Woody". Well lucky enough Josh's grandma has made a lot of costumes in her time. She made Josh's and his brother's costumes when they were little. Last year she made Evan's Robin Hood Costume which he wasn't to happy about wearing (Just the age I think). Well this year I was a little scared that he would do the same thing and not wear this one but he put it right on without a problem. He got to wear it three times. Once at Josh's work Halloween party, the trunk or treat, and on Halloween night. These pictues were from Halloween night. We went with Shambri around her neighborhood. He didn't like carrying his Halloween bag so he used his hat to get candy. The people must have felt bad for him because everytime he wouldget candy there wouldn't be anything in the hat so they would give him a lot, then we would put the candy in his bag.
We also got him to say, "Howdy Partner" when the people would open their doors. He didn't say Trick or Treat very much. One time I got him to say, "There is a snake in the boot". He got a few laughs from that.

We had fun going around with Shambri and we are glad that she invited us to go with you. We had a lot of fun and Evan got a lot of candy.

Party with Friends!

Evan also had a great birthday party with his friends. The kids had a good time swimming (probably for the last time this year). As you can see they also like the frosting on the cupcakes.

Happy 3rd Birthday!

Evan turned three. His main present from mom and dad was his bike. He loves to ride the bike and is getting very good at it. It is a Lightening McQueen bike with training wheels.

I made a Toy Story cake this year. It is supposed to be a rocket. I think it turned out good and Evan loved it.

Playing with the toys from the cake.

At his three year old checkup he was:
36.6 pounds and 38 1/2 inches. He is a big boy.

Birthday Activities

We went to Cracker Jack's for Evan's Birthday. He said that he wanted to go golfing so we tried Miniture Golf. He wasn't too sure about it so luckily we got our money back because we didn't make it past the first hole. Then we went to the bumper boats which he loved. After the bumper boats he wanted to go ride the go-carts with his dad or gramps but he was too short to ride with them and just tall enough to ride in the little ones by himself. The steering wheel was a little hard to turn so he only went around twice. After all this fun we went to gram and gramps for lunch and a little swim. Evan loves to swim.

Pictures at the Temple

I decided that we needed to get Evan's pictures taken for his 3rd Birthday. I thought it would be nice to take some pictures at the Temple. So one Saturday Evan and I took a trip to the Temple (Josh was at 11 year old scout camp). I got some good ones with part of the temple in the background but they also have people there.

Here Evan is thinking, "I want to climb up there".

Now that I look at this picture it is pretty cool with the green grass and the blue shirt. They were also redoing the outside of the temple on this side.

I was afraid that he was going to take off for the temple doors that turn in the front. If he got to that door I knew that he would be in the temple. So we didn't get too close to those doors.

Looks like he is taking a break for it.

All in all I am glad we went and took pictures. I wish we could have gotten more but I didn't want him to get loose in the temple. He is too fast and I don't think the guys at the front desk could have caught him.
