Evan is backfloating. I go swimming with him during his lessons. He is now getting to the point where it will do whatever the teacher wants and will do nothing for me. I think it is time for the big boy class.

Phoenix Zoo 2011
While my mom and sister were in town we had a lot of fun. One day we went to the Phoenix Zoo. We got the Culteral pass at the library so we only had to pay for one. Great deal.

This bamboo was funny. It just sat there by us on the other side of the glass. When my sister BreAnn put her hand up on the glass by the divider it smacked the glass and scared her to death. Evan didn't want to leave.

Evan feeding the Giraffes. He got to feed them some lettuce. He thought this was a lot of fun. Mom and BreAnn also went in to feed them.

Birthday Cake.

In this picture below, Evan is singing Happy birthday to himself. It was cute. We got a video of it so hopefully we can hear him.I think he liked his cake by the expression on his face.
Blowing out the candle.
Digging in.
Here are the pictures of Evan's Birthday cake. I decided to do a CARS theme this year because he loves this movie. It is one of the first that he watched and he loves it. I made a 2 out of chocolate and sprinkled green on for grass. I also used broken pieces of Butterfinger to make rocks. I think it turned out pretty good.
The round piece at the end was just for Evan and he loved it.
Evan got a lot of fun presents. He got toy cars from the Movie Cars, a little four wheeler that he can push around, some shirts, train set and track, and books. I think he have a great day. His Grandma Barbara "mamas"as he calls her also came and spent a week with us for his birthday.
Birthday activities

For Evan's birthday we asked him what he wanted to do and he said horses. He loves riding the carosel at the mall.
He also played at the play area for a while. After we rode the carosel the first time we told the lady running it that it was his Birthday. She said, "You should have told me, I would have let him ride for free". So we went back after the play area and rode again.

Happy 2nd Birthday Evan!
Last night as I satwith Evan before he fell asleep, he asks me to sing happy birthday "again". Whenever he likes something he says "again". I hope he had a fun 2nd birthday. I can't believe he is already 2. He had so much fun opening presents and with each one he just wanted to stop and play. He loves the movie cars so I made a cake that had the number 2 for the road and had Lightning and Sally racing. (I will put up pics later). We had a good day and i could tell Evan didn't want it to end. Happy birthday Evan I Love you.

Evan is back floating
Today Evan had swimming lessons and I really didn't want to go today, I don't know why, but I am so glad that I did. Evan has his good days for swimming and bad. Today was a good day. He did almost everything without crying and the biggest surprise of all was that he back floated all by himself. It was toward the end of the lesson where we have them swim to the teacher and then roll over to a back float. The first time Evan made it to a count of 5. The second time he made it to a count of 10. The teacher then says lets do it one more time. He then called over another teacher (the one in charge of advancement) over and had Evan do it again. He made it to 10 again and then tried to roll back over to get the wall. He got a ribbon that says "I back floated all by myself today". I am thankful that heavenly father did this for Evan today and for me because I would have been sad if I missed him back floating. I wish I had a picture but unfortunately I don't so I put a picture of the ribbon.
