Evan and Computers

Evan loves computers so Gram and Gramps got their old one out for him. He knows how to turn it on and he even knows how to use the mouse.

While I am working he always wants to be right there with me. He loves to do what I am doing.
Evan is now 16 months old. Evan and I were looking at his book I made with pictures of him the other night and I cannot believe how much he has changed. At his 15 month checkup the doctor said he will be saying 15-20 words by the 18 month checkup. I thought to myself I think he is already doing that. He really says a lot of words and he likes to copy what we say. So I told Josh watch what you say around him when you are watching your basketball games.
Yesterday I had 2 soccer games. I haven't played since I heart by leg. But anyway Evan went with me and Jennifer Hernandez (one of the girls from church who I play soccer with her mom) watched him for me. He did so good. After the first game he was tired and fell asleep for about an hour. He clapped and ran and played at the park. What a fun day.

October Fun

This was from October but I thought it was funny. We put the vampire teeth in his mouth and he just laughed and had a great time.

So Big!

Last night Evan an I were looking through his baby book of his first year. I couldn't believe how much he has changed. He is getting so big and doing so many things. We got him a little basketball hoop for Christmas and he just loves it. He is already dunking it.

He likes to hang on the basket at Gram and Gramps house.
He doesn't let us hold him much anymore when he is sleeping so you have to get it in while you can or as long as he will let you.
He loves to play the piano and loves to dance while do it.
Most of all I think he likes being able to feed himself even if he does make a huge mess. He gets mad and won't eat if you don't let him do it.
He is so much fun. He is talking more and more. He says a new work almost everyday.

Evan is so smart

Today I thought I would just write some things about Evan and how smart he is:

  • He already counts to 3 and it is so cute. One day we were walking into church and he was mumbling something and then he just let go of his legs (I forgot to mention that Josh and I were holding his hands). Well he did again but this time I heard 3. So the next time I listened a little closer and he said 1, 2, 3 and we swung him up in the air. So cute.

  • One day I was working at the computer and I have a picture of Evan on the desktop. He looks at the monitor and says "Its you", I immediately said, "no its you" and realized he is copying what I say to him when we look at the picture. So now I say who is it and then I say "Its me" to see if he will say it.

  • He knows the difference between cars and trucks and he loves to look at them. He will see a truck and say truck, and the same thing with cars.
  • He also knows how to say dog and knows them by the sound they make.
  • He can point at the picture of the temple and say "Temple".

I am sure there are more things that I am missing so I will just have to add more later.

I took this picture at the while we were at the Temple with the young women. I printed it and put it and did something called "Decropodge" and it turned out really good. I wanted to put a picture of the Temple in Evan's room so he will always have a goal to go there someday.

Halloween and a haircut

Evan was a little chef. Surprisingly he left the hat on for most of the night.

We got him a mini pumpkin this year. He thought it was a ball and would throw it.
This is how I found Evan yesterday. I was checking something for work and thought he was being really quite. I had to restage the picture because as soon as I came he thought I was going to take it away from him.
Evan got a new haircut. His hair grows really fast.

Random pictures

Lately Evan has really been into music. He gets up on the piano bench and plays. He even has a a little dance while playing. He bends those little legs and plays away.

This picture was from Sunday morning conference. Everytime the choir sang he would jump up and lead the music. It was so cute.

When we went to Utah we went to Josh's cousin Michelle's soccer game. Evan was walking up and down the sidewalk cheering.Evan helped make cookies for Uncle Peter. He loves making cookies.
He loves tasting the dough.
And the flour.
He even made the finger prints in the dough.
We went to the Bountilful Temple and Evan loved the fountains.

We stayed outside and took pictures while gramps and gram and Shyanne went in to do baptisms.

Evan loved smelling the Flowers on the temple grounds.

Evan was so tired, he fell asleep on great grandma Woodward's living room floor.
