Adventures with Evan

Evan usually doesn't like to wear his hat but on this day he wanted to wear it sideways. The next think I knew... He was asleep with his hat in the same position.

Evan loves to play by the pool. He is very cautious and careful.
Sorry this one is so little but this was a picture I took just before cutting his hair.

Evan loves to hang out. This was on one of the days that we have the 11-year old scouts over and they were working on pull ups. Of course Evan wanted to try.

So tired that he fell a sleep in his highchair.
These pictures are from my cellphone so they are not the best quality but it works.

Our Bike Ride To The Park

Play group today was at 4212 E Cholla St. Last night I looked it up online and thought that is too far to ride the bike with Evan in his child seat.

This morning I woke up and thought it isn't that far. So we rode to the park, leaving our house at 9:30 am. I would guess that it is about 2-3 miles from our house. It wasn't too bad until we got to Cactus and it seemed like there was a slight incline and a breeze toward us.

Finally we make it to the park at 10 am, not too bad. No one we know is at the park. I think to myself we rode to this park for nothing.

Jessie and Caleb come and we have fun hanging out in the sand.

Evan goes down the slide head first, all by himself. He also goes down a huge slide by himself and I can't get down fast enough to catch him. He didn't like that slide.

Evan is now tired and we ride back home. What a fun day. Hope my legs are not sore tomorrow.

(sorry no pictures with this one)

A morning at the park

Today was a beautiful day and I took Evan to the park. We played there for about an hour and a half. He loves the swings and today he went down the slide many times by himself. He also took it truck and sent it down each time before he could come down. I also thought it was funny because he would go feet first on his stomach instead of his butt.

After the park we went to Walmart to get Josh's birthday present and a few other things. Evan always makes the cash registers day. They always smile at him and say hi. When we leave he always blows them kisses. On the way home he fell asleep at 11:30am. I guess that is what happens when you wake up at 7am. I tried to keep him awake long enough to eat lunch but it didn't happen. He then slept for two hours until his gram came to get him for the rest of the afternoon.

Applesauce

Evan was wearing my hat one day and I thought it was a cute picture. I have had this had for more than 10 years and I think I have pictures of my nephews and cousins in this hat. How cute.

Lately Evan has been drinking applesauce and this is how it ends up on his face. He also drinks his yogurt. I guess what ever works.

No More!

You may be wondering about my title. Well Evan's new favorite thing to say is "no more". You ask him if he wants to eat and he says "no more". You ask him if he wants to get up and he says "no more". I will have to record him saying this to get the full effect.

Another thing he says when he is ready to go to bed, he will say "ni night" and put us to the bed. I can't believe how much he has grown and he is getting so big.

Evan and Computers

Evan loves computers so Gram and Gramps got their old one out for him. He knows how to turn it on and he even knows how to use the mouse.

While I am working he always wants to be right there with me. He loves to do what I am doing.
Evan is now 16 months old. Evan and I were looking at his book I made with pictures of him the other night and I cannot believe how much he has changed. At his 15 month checkup the doctor said he will be saying 15-20 words by the 18 month checkup. I thought to myself I think he is already doing that. He really says a lot of words and he likes to copy what we say. So I told Josh watch what you say around him when you are watching your basketball games.
Yesterday I had 2 soccer games. I haven't played since I heart by leg. But anyway Evan went with me and Jennifer Hernandez (one of the girls from church who I play soccer with her mom) watched him for me. He did so good. After the first game he was tired and fell asleep for about an hour. He clapped and ran and played at the park. What a fun day.

October Fun

This was from October but I thought it was funny. We put the vampire teeth in his mouth and he just laughed and had a great time.
I'm a Mormon.
